Henna, also called Mehndi , is the traditional form of body painting, usually on the hands and feet. A tattoo that uses no needles, doesn't penetrate the epidermis,  is safe, temporary, and totally painless.
It is a originally a Indian art form that was first practiced in Mesopotamia thousands of years ago, and was later accepted into Indian culture in the 12th century.

Mehndi is created from a natural paste mostly prepared from henna plant mixtures,
blended with pure essential oils, in order to make it refreshing and soothing to the skin. It is often used to die skin (for tanning) and hair, giving dark brown reddish coloring effects.
Henna designs last from one to two weeks depending on how much washing and bathing you do, also on your body temperature.

The Colors used for tattooing often have other herbs mixed into it, thus stretching the color range from transparent orange to almost black . You can choose any motive that comes to mind, traditional mehndi, or just try the tattoo you always wanted, without being attached to it for the rest of your life. Mehndi exploded last year in the states, it's popularity expresses itself throughout many medias, you will see it in films and videos of countless well known productions.
