An over-the-counter first aid triple antibiotic ointment to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
Based on a clinical study comparing the appearance of treated and untreated minor abrasions, when used as directed twice daily until healed, Neosporin® may help to minimize the appearance of scars while preventing infection. Not indicated for use longer than 1 week unless directed by a physician.
For external use only. Do not use in the eyes or apply over large areas of the body. In case of deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns, consult a physician. Stop use and consult a physician if the condition persists or gets worse, or if a rash or other allergic reaction develops. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not use longer than 1 week unless directed by a physician. KEEP THIS AND ALL DRUGS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
Ingredients: Each gram contains: Polymyxin B Sulfate 5,000 units, Bacitracin Zinc 400 units and Neomycin 3.5mg. Also contains a base of cocoa butter*, cottonseed oil*, olive oil*, soduim pyruvate*, tocopheryl acetate* and white petrolatum.
